History

I started out with my 1978 Jeep Cherokee Chief that I had owned since 1986 and drove all through high school. After years of abuse it was time for a major overhaul. So in 1997 I started to rebuild and improve my off-road truck.

First I started with making it a chop top and several upgrades including an AMC 401, Suspension changes, 35" Boggers, and eventually a custom Tera 60 rear axle.

The interior was striped and rhino lined and all the interior panels were remade out of brushed aluminum sheet for a clean look. A custom roll cage was welded in that incorporated a full sized spare mount. A Milemarker 10500 hydraulic winch was placed up front in a custom mount that fit the old plow brackets.

Most items were custom built for the Jeep because there was not a lot of choices back then for FSJ's. The custom nerfs and pre-runner style brushguard were designed by myself and helped assembled by a couple of close friends who build race cars for a living.

Very close to being finished

The final piece was a custom made soft top that had removable sides and rear so that the top could function several different ways.
